Holiday magic was still in full effect as DXL brothers dropped off toys at the West Sanford Boys & Girls Clubs. Being a blessing to others is what service is all about.

More holiday cheer! With an assist from Orange County, DXL brothers delivered Christmas gifts to the Orlando Rescue Mission, Ronald McDonald House and the Callahan Center.

Holiday magic in action! Brothers of Delta Xi Lambda pulled up to the Callahan Center spreading cheer, delivering toys and gifts to some amazing young scholars as part of our annual holiday philanthropic efforts. From a surprise visit by Santa (aka Brother Brendon James) to joyful performances by the kids, the room was full of smiles, laughter, and holiday spirit. This is what brotherhood and service look like.

Our YMOD crew showed up in a big way last month, volunteering with United Against Poverty and supporting their mission to uplift families across Florida. Proud to serve, proud to give back, and proud to make a difference together!

DXL helped serve an early Thanksgiving dinner to families in need. It was a beautiful reminder of what service is all about: showing up, giving back, and lifting our community. Grateful for every hand that helped make it happen!

DXL Brothers teamed up with several Xi Iota (UCF) Brothers for Brotherโ€™s Keeper. The program advocates and improves the quality of life for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Brothers, their spouses, and widows who are retired, are elders, have disabilities and are ailing; and vulnerable community members.

Brothers of Delta Xi Lambda were joined by our Xi Iota (UCF) Brothers to clean up the streets of the Pine Hills district. ๐Ÿšฎ๐Ÿ—‘๏ธโ™ป๏ธ Over 650 pounds of trash was collected. Keeping our streets clean boosts community pride and well-being by creating a more pleasant and safe environment, and supports the local economy by being more attractive to businesses and visitor

Brothers of DXL participated in a book giveaway with the Head Start program. Over 100 books were presented to young children, and Brothers played educational games with them as well. Head Start programs promote school readiness and child development for eligible low-income families with children from birth to 5 years old.

Brothers of DXL recently volunteered at a food distribution for underprivileged families. ๐Ÿง‡๐ŸŽ๐Ÿž๐Ÿฅ• Brothers helped pack hundreds of bags and ensured that every family was set. We look forward to continuing our community service efforts.

Brothers participated in our Head Start To Literacy initiative with the Callahan Community Centerโ€™s Head Start Program. ๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ‘ฆ๐Ÿพ We strongly believe that by providing books and materials to Head Start programs in Orlando, specifically in underserved communities, we can help the Head Start teachers in creating a high-quality early childhood learning experience. These efforts enrich language and vocabulary development that will make the transition to elementary school more seamless.

DXL Brothers Packaged 1275 Boxes of food for 1275 families at Second Harvest. That's 25,500 pounds of food. 21,250 meals for those in need.

DXL Brothers teamed up with our Xi Iota Brothers for a monthly food drive to assist the disadvantaged. This is what service in action looks like.

DXL Brothers participated in the 17th annual United Negro College Fund Run/Walk for Education โ€” and tied with the Deltas for the most money raised! DXL also took first place for Largest Community Group and Brother Damon Barnes won Fastest Time for the 50-59 year old age range! This event is crucial for raising awareness and funds to support the mission of UNCF, which has been committed to providing scholarships, internships, and other vital resources to help students attend and graduate from college, particularly those attending HBCUs.

When the village shows up, the future shines brighter. ๐ŸŽ’๐Ÿ“šโœ๏ธ DXL was honored to serve at Carver Middle Schoolโ€™s Back to School Bash this past weekend โ€” backpacks, smiles, and brotherhood in action. Service is in our DNA.

DXL Brothers joined Orlando City Commissioner Bakari F. Burns for a free Back to School Drive. Alphas were on hand to pass out backpacks and grill hotdogs and hamburgers for students. Families left with a free backpack full of supplies to help support and prepare their children for the upcoming school year.
